WebTruck Moving out

Having flown indoors quite a lot, I needed to practise outdoors.

As the weather was fine on January 4th, I took the Kopter out for a flight.

The low temperature (-2°C) was no problem.

Here are a few images:

Lesson learned: fly lower to take nearby images

As I was flying much more with wing planes than the MikroKopter, I don't feel comfortable to fly near the horizon with trees around. A wing plane takes a lot of space to fly a turn and easily flies out of sight - I have to get used to the fact that the Kopter can move any direction any time...

Probably I should take the time now to put the GPS module into operation so I can take panoramic pictures from one spot. The GPS module will keep the Kopter on one spot while I turn it round.
