RC Heli Flight

I have always thought helis were not reliable and strong enough to carry cameras for aerial pictures.

This weekend I was at a RC flight meeting. The helicopters they showed there changed my mind.

Nowadays, RC helicopters are certainly strong enough to carry a 150g digital camera. I don't now about vibrations - those might still be a problem for taking good still shots.

The pilot seen on the video below is a professional trainer from the german RC-Helischule

They have some videos on their site - strange that I could not find a video of an electric copter like the one on the video below.

The video was taken with a Sony-TSC100 - not a video camera, and not ideal to follow a fast moving helicopter...

This video is not edited. It shows inverted flight close to the ground - it seems that for those professionals inverted flight is more normal than normal flight...
