Amazing amount of snow in just one night

We did not have much snow this winter. But in the night from March 4th to 5th there was more snow than all the winter before...

I got up a bit early for a sunday and went out to take some pictures

Later that day I heard in the news that this was the heaviest snowfall for the last 70 years.

I can't tell, since I live in this place only since 1992, where I lived before we had more snow because of higher altitude. The snow was perfect for a sunday - on a monday it would have caused quite some traffic congestions.
