We're at the beginning of March - normally we don't have snow around this time of the year here.
Not so this year. I the night from Saturday 3rd to Sunday 4th we had the heaviest snowfall in the last 70 years.

I don't think it's warmer or colder - it's getting more extreme.
A very hot and dry 2003 (perfect for flying), rivers flooding Switzerland in 2005, lots of snow in March 2006 - these are just a few examples for Switzerland.
I am sure you have a few examples for your country as well...

We actually had snow this year in England for the first time in ages. (The last time I got snow in my area here was apparently 20 years ago. So things are definitely changing.
