Logitech Sphere on Linux

I bought a Logitech Sphere webcam because I read the camera is supported ( OrbitView )

The next day when I want to download the pwc driver to install on my fresh 2.4.27 kernel, I get lots of 404 errors - wondering what is wrong...

BANG - the author had an argument about the future development of the driver within the latest kernel

He decided to drop the whole stuff. Google Cache holds what was there just days ago. ( Google PWC FAQ )

next question: how will this continue?

I need a version that works with the 2.4.27 kernel.

Hoping that at least the older versions up to 9.0.x will be available again for whoever is on the authors side and does not mind to use some binary modules I publish the PWC version I have downloaded this week (included in OrbitView)
