If you dont like information this way, you can still vote and increase the percentage of non-html-likers :-) In the air again After being grounded for more than a week (lost a prop), I received the new motors with gears on tuesday. I fixed them on the plane and went for a flight on wednesday. They did not perform as expected...(>read on) If you know about electric RC plane motors, please read and let me know how I could improve them. From the Wingo-RC forum I know that 2/3rd of all Wingo pilots use the geared motors, but somehow it did not work good for me So I put back the old el cheapo motors and went for a flight this morning near a military practice ground nearby (after driving around a lot to find a good >airfield) They all stopped their work and took a break to see how the plane was doing. Weather was fine, so I had no problems to perform some stunts over their heads (as far as you can go with a slow flyer...) I set up a >interactive panoramic view of the airfield, a technology I have also used in the panoramic section of my gallery a couple of years ago. Looks a bit like a live webcam :-) When I fit the motors in I added capacitors for less flicker - it seemed to help a bit. There are 2 clips on the July page - for the second one I went up quite a bit, about 200m above ground. >Short version The good weather continues, so hopefully I will have many more flights this month. My nikon is too heavy for the plane in the current setup, hope I will get the Aiptek DV I bought on ebay soon so I can use that one to take better quality pictures and videos.
