Rapture 40

This plane will be the forth plane I will build from a kit (not counting the many foam planes). Its suppose to be good novice plane where the Little Stick is better as a third plane. Unfortunately every guy I talk to had a different opinion about what the "next" good plane is once mastering the trainer (Rookie).

Model is finished. Waiting for spring before I go to the field and break in the engine prior madien flight.

May 2012

After going over the entire model making sure everything worked correctly I found an issue. The ailerons were warping the wings when they moved up and down so I decided to replace the ailerons. Unfortunately I had another project on the table so it sat for almost a year. I finally got around to replacing the ailerons and brakeing in the engine. Here are the glamour shots before the maiden flight.

Overall the plane flies well. I have some issues with nose overs taxiing on and off the field. I think the landing gear is bent incorrectly or my tires are too small for the long grass. I will have it fixed in the near future.
